UK Man Officially Changed Name To Bacon Double Cheeseburger

The name’s Cheeseburger, Bacon Double Cheeseburger. A report shared by The Times has revealed that a record-breaking 85,000 UK residents legally changed their names in 2015.
“Some people simply don’t like their original name”, said spokesperson Louise Bowers of the UK Deed Poll Service’s usual line of business, before giving the examples “we’ve changed Cock to Cox and Smellie to Smiley.”
Bowers also noted that she’s seen “an increase in people who want to get married but cannot afford it, so change names”, offering further insight into why that 2015 figure was so high.
Post-transition transgender individuals, and persons trying to avoid their ex-partners, were also mentioned as contributors to that 85,000 total changes.
There have been some incredibly wacky new names, as well. There are now people called Bacon Double Cheeseburger, Penelope Pitstop, and Mr & Mrs Amazing walking among us.
It’s also not uncommon, according to the report, for people to change their name to match that of their favourite sportsmen. Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were given as examples.
Bowers added: “One man changed his name to Happy Birthday. It gave us a chuckle, but if that is what they want to do, it’s their choice.”
Some of these people’s CV’s must look mightily odd, and it’s surely going to be pure chaos when the time comes to sing around the cake on Mr Birthday’s actual birthday. But ours is not to question why…
